Persons in charge of, responsible for and locations of data processing
Data processing related to the web services of the Site takes place at the aforementioned headquarters of the Data Controller and on servers located at the Aruba server farm.
The data will be processed by Dr. Luisella Rosa Anna Troyer by means of its appointees depending on the purpose to be achieved based on the request of the interested party.

How we process the data
All processing carried out within the scope of this site will be carried out with electronic or telematic tools, but could also be processed with paper/manual tools.
The data will be processed with logic related to the purposes for which the data were collected and in compliance with current security regulations, for the purposes indicated above or specified from time to time in any further information presented to the user.
Personal data will be processed for the time strictly necessary to pursue the purposes for which they are collected.

Types of data processed and optional nature of conferment
The forms to be filled out on this site may include both data that are strictly necessary to adhere to what you are interested in and the failure to provide them does not allow the request to be processed, and optional provision of data that are not strictly necessary to process the request.

Navigation data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment.

These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct operation and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site: except for this eventuality, at present the data on web contacts do not persist for more than seven days.

Data provided voluntarily by the user
The personal data normally required for the use of the services of this site are personal and contact data. The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site or the completion of electronic contact forms involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, which is necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.

Specific summary information will be progressively reported or displayed on the pages of the site set up for particular services on request.
Normally, no sensitive data are processed ex art. 4 D.lgs. 196/2003 (in case of processing of sensitive data for certain services will be issued a special notice and requested the specific consent of the user concerned).

Cookies
Cookies are small text files that sites visited by the user send and record on his/her computer or mobile device, to be then retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit. It is precisely because of cookies that the site remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as, for example, login details, chosen language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to said site or navigates from one page to another of it. Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, session tracking and storage of information regarding the activities of users accessing a site, and may also contain a unique identifier code that allows tracking of the user's navigation within the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes.

In the course of browsing a site, users may also receive on their computer or mobile device cookies from sites or web servers other than the one they are visiting (so-called “third-party” cookies). Some operations could not be accomplished without the use of cookies, which in some cases are therefore technically necessary for the very operation of the site.

There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these may remain on the user's computer or mobile device for different periods of time: so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's equipment until a predetermined expiration date.

Under current Italian law, the use of cookies does not always require the user's express consent. In particular, “technical cookies,” i.e., those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, do not require such consent. These are, in other words, cookies that are indispensable for the operation of the site or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.

Among technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see Prov. Gen. “Identification of the simplified modalities for information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies - May 8, 2014”) also includes:
“analytics cookies” where used directly by the operator of the site to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself,
navigation or session cookies (to authenticate),
functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same.

For “profiling cookies”, vice versa, i.e., those aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same in the context of web browsing, prior user consent is required.

Types of cookies used by the Site and possibilities of (de-)selection
The Site uses the following cookies, offering possibilities to (de-)select them, except for third-party cookies for which the user should refer directly to the respective cookie selection and de-)selection methods indicated below by means of links:
- Technical-navigation or session cookies and strictly necessary for the operation of the Site or to enable the user to take advantage of the content and services they have requested.
- Technical-analytics cookies, which allow us to understand how the Site is used by users. No information about the user's identity or any personal data is collected with these cookies. The information is processed in aggregate and anonymous form.
- Technical-functionality cookies, that is, used to enable specific site features and a set of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered.

CAUTION: Disabling technical and/or functionality cookies may result in the Site being unavailable or certain services or features of the Site being unavailable or not functioning properly, and you may have to change or manually enter certain information or preferences each time you visit the Site.

Optional provision of data other than navigational data
Apart from that specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide the personal data reported in the registration/enrollment forms (some with specific and separate request for informed consent for treatments that require it) or otherwise indicated in contacts with Dr. Luisella Rosa Anna Troyer to request the sending of informative material or other communications.

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site, or through the communication forms, involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.

In the case of a data subject to whom the data refer who is in regular contact with or a member of the association, non-sensitive personal data could also be processed in the future without consent for other activities that fall within the legitimate purposes (such as statistical analysis activities and involvement in scientific research activities, direct contact by telephone with operator or paper mail for informational or promotional purposes, sending a non-promotional newsletter updating on our institutional activities, without prejudice to the right of opposition granted to the data subject at any time).

For sending emails, sms, mms, faxes or other automated messages with promotional content, free and optional prior consent will be requested from the data subjects, where appropriate; such consent would also extend to paper mail and telephone with operator for those who are not members or in regular contact with the association. The Data Controller will process data from data subjects only as long as necessary for the purposes.

Specific summary disclosures and requests for consents may be progressively reported or displayed on pages of the site set up for particular services (e.g., subscription to newsletters or company events, or fundraising on behalf of Dr. Luisella Rosa Anna Troyer). Failure to provide them may in some cases result in the impossibility of obtaining what has been requested.

Rights of data subjects
The subjects to whom the personal data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of such data and to know its content and origin, verify its accuracy or request its integration or updating, or rectification (art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003).

Pursuant to the same article, one has the right to request the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, their processing.
Requests should be addressed to the Controller's physical address or by email to info@drluisellatroyer.com
